35mm Film / Cotton Rag Paper / Fine Art Prints

ON THE FORMAT
Every Archive 78 print begins with an original film photograph of an Irish place. Landscapes, coastlines and city scenes are brought together with bold typography, place names and field-note details.
The design takes its cues from maps and field guides: give a photograph a location, a name and a record of where it belongs. Each print stands on its own, while forming part of a growing archive.
More on the prints
Archive 78 is the work of one photographer. I shoot on 35mm film, handheld, in natural light, walking and driving the Irish landscape and photographing what I find, in the conditions I find it.
The archive began in Ireland, where I'm based. It extends outward as the project travels.
